DDOT Guiderail Repair Schedule for the Week of February 4

(Washington, DC) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will temporarily close single lanes on roadways throughout the District for bridge and tunnel inspections.

DDOT will temporarily close single lanes on the following roadways:

  • North Capitol Street under T Street and Rhode Island Avenue right lane closure of Northbound North Capitol Street followed by alternating right and left closures of Southbound North Capitol Street on Tuesday, February 5, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting;
  • North Capitol Street under New York Avenue right lane closure of northbound North Capitol Street followed by alternating right and left lane closures of southbound North Capitol Street on Thursday, February 7, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting;
  • K Street, NW, over Whitehurst Freeway Ramp right lane closure of eastbound K Street NW, over Whitehurst Freeway Ramp on Thursday, February 7, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting;
  • Connecticut Avenue, NW over Klingle Valley right lane closure of northbound Connecticut Avenue, NW, over Klingle Valley followed by a right lane closure of southbound Connecticut Avenue, NW, over Klingle Valley on Friday, February 8, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, weather permitting.

Traffic controls will be in place to warn drivers approaching the areas. Motorists should anticipate moderate-to-heavy delays due to the lane closures. Drivers are advised to stay alert while traveling through these locations and to be observant of the inspection personnel.
