(Washington, DC) - In observance of Veterans Day, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will suspend construction activities on the District's roadways and sidewalks Friday, November 10.

Lane closures will not be allowed for non-emergency work in roadways and sidewalks within the District's right of way. This includes manhole access and construction-related deliveries. Approved activities may resume beginning Saturday, November 11, 2017, during permitted work hours.

DDOT encourages permit holders to take extra measures to secure their work sites and to contact DDOT’s Public Space Regulation Division for guidance.

Parking enforcement will be suspended, with normal operations resuming Monday, November 13, 2017.

Streetcar parking enforcement is daily, including weekends and holidays along H Street and Benning Road NE, between 3rd Street and Oklahoma Avenue NE. On Sundays and holidays, streetcar parking enforcement is between 8 am and 11 pm. Enforcement on Mondays to Thursdays is 6 am to midnight; and on Fridays and Saturdays, enforcement runs between 6 am and 2 am.

Normal enforcement citywide of other parking violations resumes November 13.

The mission of the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) is to enhance the quality of life for District residents and visitors by ensuring that people, goods, and information move efficiently and safely with minimal adverse impact on residents and the environment.
