Washington DC - Due to a water main break, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) has closed Massachusetts Avenue, SE, between 34th Street and N Street. This closure is anticipated to remain in place for approximately 7 to 10 days to allow crews from DDOT and DC Water to make repairs in the area and restore the roadway.
Although the corridor is closed for through traffic, local residents are still being allowed to access their homes in the area.
Temporary signs and traffic control measures will be in place to alert and guide the traveling public through the work zone. DDOT encourages all motorists to stay alert as they travel through the work zone.
Further updates regarding this closure will follow.
