Washington, DC - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will be installing nighttime lane closures in order to paint the underside of the 14th Street Bridge from Wednesday, June 25 to Friday, July 25, 2014, weather permitting.
This work is being done to preserve the bridge and make the roadway safe for the traveling public.
The southbound lanes of I-395 near the 14th Street Bridge will be closed one lane at a time during this project. The lane closures will last from 8 pm to 5 am.
The public can expect some disruption of traffic flow during the above mentioned work hours. All lane closures will be in compliance with DDOT standard lane closures.
DDOT encourages all motorists to stay alert as they travel through the work zone.
