WASHINGTON, DC - As part of the 11th Street Bridge Project, the District Department of Transportation (DDOT) will close the 11th Street Inbound Freeway Bridge (I-695 WB) exit ramp to M Street, SE and the Navy Yard overnight on April 24 and 25, 2013. The closure will be in place from 7 pm on Wednesday, April 24 through 5 am the following day and again on Thursday, April 25 from 8 pm until 5 am the following day. The closure is needed to complete milling and paving operations along the ramp.
If inclement weather prevents the work from being completed on the scheduled days, an additional closure will take place on Friday, April 26 from 8 pm until 10 am the following day.
During the ramp closure, signed detours will be posted.
Motorists traveling northbound on the 11th Street Bridge seeking access to M Street, SE and the Navy Yard will be detoured to the 8th Street exit, onto I Street, SE, and then to 8th Street, SE.
In the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen conditions, this work will be rescheduled and an updated advisory will be distributed.
