Washington, DC - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announced an online research tool to assist residents, visitors and businesses alike to better understand the legal parameters within which DDOT functions as well as the policies and vision that guide its day-to-day operations.
The DDOT Compendium is a tool that provides comprehensive information about DDOT policies, procedures, and services in an online, searchable format. The Compendium contains a variety of documents and reference materials—ranging from regulations, federal legislation, and transportation studies, to online permit look-up tools and FAQs—organized by topic into summary pages that provide links to related documents and references.
“The Compendium is a one-stop reference tool for a wide range of information about the agency,” said DDOT Acting Director Matthew Brown. “Information about our policies, procedures and services is now easier to access than ever, and just a few clicks away.”
The Compendium complements the innovative online resources already provided by DDOT and the District government, such as DDOT's Transportation Online Permitting System (TOPS) for processing public space applications and permits, and 311 Online for filing and tracking service requests. As always, departmental news and current project updates can be found on DDOT’s website.
