FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Media Contact: Reggie Sanders — 202-437-0809

Washington, DC - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announced the publication on July 4, 2014 of amendments to Title 24 (Public Space) of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations (DCMR), to ensure that all improvements to triangle parks (federal “reservations” that have been transferred to DDOT) maintain public and open access.

Additionally, the proposed rules will establish the agency’s policies and procedures for obtaining permits to adopt or make other private improvements to such parks. The proposed rules also detail DDOT’s authority to modify or remove private improvements made to these parks.

The proposed regulations may be reviewed and comments submitted online.
