(Washington, DC) - The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announced a new website to inform residents, visitors and businesses about the agency’s Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan. The ADA website provides information about the ADA Transition Plan process; public meetings related to the transition plan; opportunities for the public to comment, sign up for emails and receive project updates and draft and final versions of the plan.

DDOT is committed to equal access for people with disabilities and to meeting its obligations under the ADA. The accessibility of pedestrian facilities in the public right-of-way is only one aspect for providing equal access to state government programs, services and activities, but it is an aspect that affects many citizens in their daily activities. DDOT looks forward to your participation and feedback on this important project.
