DDOT occasionally receives requests for new transit to serve schools. DDOT provides approval and funding for new transit services, and WMATA provides the services.
The School Transit Subsidy Program provides reduced fares for District students who use Metrobus, Metrorail, or the Circulator to travel to and from school.
