DDOT Environmental Policy & Process Manual The DDOT Environmental Policy & Process Manual (the manual) is a comprehensive document that addresses environmental issues as they relate to DDOT projects. DDOT recognizes the importance of being a good steward of the environment and engraining environmental stewardship in its operations. This manual helps DDOT in ensuring that DDOT projects are sustainable and protect the environment to make DDOT a good steward of the environment. The processes outlined in the manual such as National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), DC Environmental Policy Act (DCEPA), and Context Sensitive Solutions (CSS) facilitate the project development process and help DDOT Engineers, planners, and other professionals in their projects. The manual provides information on DDOT Project Development Process, NEPA, DCEPA, and other local and federal environmental laws and regulations.
