The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) yesterday released and invited public comment on proposed changes in the granting of public space permits and to the composition of the Public Space Committee (PSC).
The recommendations simplify the permit-granting process by removing duplicate layers of review, shorten the time it takes to obtain most permits, and encourage participation by more appropriate government agencies as well as by concerned individuals and community groups.
