Press Release for Immediate Release April 14, 2003 DDOT Launches 'Strategies for DDOT Dollars' to Assist Small & Minority Businesses The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) announces an open house to launch Strategies for DDOT Dollars, a new program to support small, minority and disadvantaged business enterprises (LSDBEs) doing business with or wanting to do business with DDOT. What: Open House kickoff for 'Strategies for DDOT Dollars' Where: April 17, 2003, 8:00 am — 10:30 am When: Reeves Center, 2000 14th Street, NW, 2nd floor, Edna Frazier Cromwell Community Room At the open house, DDOT program managers and members of the support services team will be introduced. They will discuss upcoming prime and subcontracting opportunities. Prime contractors and organizational leaders will also be available. Strategies for DDOT Dollars will help prepare LSDBEs by offering a full range of support, including early information about upcoming contracts, developing competition strategies and proper invoicing to insure prompt payment.
