Georgia Avenue Gateway Segment 
This Segment is an important transition from Silver Spring to the District. Streetscape improvements have recently been completed for the area. In addition to this, enhanced signage and crosswalks will make this segment convenient for pedestrian use and highlight its role as a gateway to the District. Street trees and other landscape elements will define the sidewalks. In the future, improvements at the Juniper Street and Hemlock Street intersections will include enhanced crosswalks and pedestrian signage, and upgrades to the sidewalks along these cross streets.
