BACKGROUND: Mayor Gray will speak at the D.C. Council’s Public Briefing on the Fiscal Year 2012 Proposed Budget and Financial Plan, scheduled for 10 a.m. April 6. Therefore, the Mayor’s weekly City Hall Press Briefing has been scheduled for 2 p.m. Topics to be discussed include new appointments, regulations for medical marijuana and the District government’s contingency plan in the event of a federal government shutdown.
