The 2011 Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Summit and Networking Event was held at the Kellogg Conference Center, Gallaudet University. The event was sponsored by the Federal Highway Administration, DC Division and the District Department of Transportation.

Officials from US Department of Transportation, Federal Highway Administration, and District Department of Transportation (DDOT) spoke about the new DBE regulations, compliance issues, and upcoming DDOT projects. Certified DBE firms had opportunities to network with DDOT prime contractors in heavy construction and civil engineering during the event.
