The District Department of Transportation (DDOT) and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) invite you to attend a Public Hearing for the use of 0.3 acre of National Park Service land for a Special Use Permit Environmental Assessment (EA) in accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.

The three-tenths of an acre of National Park Service land located along Anacostia Drive, SE, between the inbound and outbound 11th Street Bridges is to be used under a National Park Service Special Use Permit for the construction of the 11th Street Bridges abutments. The special use permit will accommodate
construction of abutments for three new bridges adjacent to existing DDOT right-of-way.
The purpose of this Public Hearing is to afford all interested persons the opportunity to provide comments regarding the land transfer. A presentation will be made at 6:30 pm; public testimony will begin at 7:00 pm. Maps, displays, and the EA will be on display at the Hearing. Copies of the EA are also available for public viewing starting on Friday, May 21, 2010 at:
