District Traffic Volume Map depicts the Annualized Traffic Volume at various locations of the District's roadways.

Count data is collected (both direction) at pre-selected locations on Highway Performance Monitoring System (HPMS) Sections on a three year cycle. These counts are converted to Annual Average Daily Traffic (AADT) as shown on the map.

Counters are also placed for 24 hours during the weekdays on a sample of 100 local links annually; counts are adjusted to Average Annual Weekday Traffic (AAWT).

All roadway, traffic, and travel data being made available by the District Department of Transportation in these ward maps are developed to support internal uses.

All numbers are expressed in thousands, and rounded to the nearest 100.
